廣西醫(yī)科大學(xué)公共衛(wèi)生學(xué)院，原名廣西醫(yī)學(xué)院衛(wèi)生系，創(chuàng)建于1976年，1998年更名為廣西醫(yī)科大學(xué)公共衛(wèi)生學(xué)院。目前是廣西培養(yǎng)公共衛(wèi)生與預(yù)防醫(yī)學(xué)學(xué)士、碩士、博士、博士后于一體的唯一基地。學(xué)院設(shè)有職業(yè)衛(wèi)生與環(huán)境衛(wèi)生學(xué)系、流行病與生物統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)系、營養(yǎng)與食品衛(wèi)生學(xué)系、毒理學(xué)系、衛(wèi)生檢驗(yàn)與檢疫學(xué)系、婦幼衛(wèi)生與心理衛(wèi)生學(xué)系、社會(huì)醫(yī)學(xué)與健康促進(jìn)系等7個(gè)學(xué)系、16個(gè)教研室。學(xué)院設(shè)有預(yù)防醫(yī)學(xué)、衛(wèi)生檢驗(yàn)與檢疫、婦幼保健醫(yī)學(xué)等3個(gè)本科專業(yè)。

一、師資隊(duì)伍

現(xiàn)有教職工78人，專任教師66人，博士學(xué)歷47人，碩士學(xué)歷25人，正高職稱31人，副高職稱12人，博士生導(dǎo)師17人，碩士生導(dǎo)師35人。享受國務(wù)院政府特殊津貼2人，全國優(yōu)秀教師、教育部新世紀(jì)優(yōu)秀人才支持計(jì)劃、教育部高等學(xué)校公共衛(wèi)生與預(yù)防醫(yī)學(xué)類專業(yè)教學(xué)指導(dǎo)委員會(huì)委員、廣西八桂學(xué)者、廣西八桂青年學(xué)者、廣西高等學(xué)校高水平創(chuàng)新團(tuán)隊(duì)及卓越學(xué)者計(jì)劃各1人，廣西杰青、廣西優(yōu)秀專家、廣西自然科學(xué)基金創(chuàng)新團(tuán)隊(duì)、廣西高校引進(jìn)海外高層次人才“百人計(jì)劃”各2人，廣西高校教學(xué)名師、廣西新世紀(jì)“十百千人才工程”第二層次人選各3人。

二、學(xué)科建設(shè)

公共衛(wèi)生與預(yù)防醫(yī)學(xué)是廣西一流學(xué)科，現(xiàn)為一級學(xué)科博士學(xué)位授權(quán)點(diǎn)、博士后科研流動(dòng)站。擁有1個(gè)廣西優(yōu)勢特色重點(diǎn)學(xué)科（流行病與衛(wèi)生統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)）、1個(gè)廣西重點(diǎn)學(xué)科（勞動(dòng)衛(wèi)生與環(huán)境衛(wèi)生學(xué)）、1個(gè)廣西重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室（廣西艾滋病防治研究重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室）、1個(gè)廣西高校重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室（廣西高發(fā)疾病預(yù)防與控制研究重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室）、1個(gè)廣西衛(wèi)健委重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室（環(huán)境與健康研究重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室）和2個(gè)廣西特色新型智庫（環(huán)境污染健康風(fēng)險(xiǎn)評價(jià)與管理中心、全球健康與治理研究中心）。

三、科學(xué)研究

學(xué)院長期以來圍繞廣西重大公共衛(wèi)生問題開展研究工作，目前已形成慢性非傳染性疾病預(yù)防與控制、環(huán)境重金屬污染的危害研究、重大傳染病預(yù)防與控制、環(huán)境與健康關(guān)系研究等具有區(qū)域特色的研究方向。近五年獲得國家重點(diǎn)研發(fā)課題子項(xiàng)目1項(xiàng)、國家自然科學(xué)基金48項(xiàng)（面上項(xiàng)目10項(xiàng)、青年基金9項(xiàng)）、省部級科研項(xiàng)目40項(xiàng)（廣西杰青1項(xiàng)、重點(diǎn)項(xiàng)目7項(xiàng)）和CMB國際合作科研項(xiàng)目2項(xiàng)，總經(jīng)費(fèi)達(dá)4092萬元。近五年以第一或者通訊作者發(fā)表SCI論文218篇，獲得廣西科技進(jìn)步獎(jiǎng)二等獎(jiǎng)1項(xiàng)。

四、人才培養(yǎng)

學(xué)院現(xiàn)已培養(yǎng)本科生4200余人，碩士生1100余人，博士生150余人。先后獲得國家級人才培養(yǎng)模式創(chuàng)新試驗(yàn)區(qū)、國家級高等學(xué)校特色專業(yè)建設(shè)點(diǎn)及國家級一流本科專業(yè)建設(shè)點(diǎn)。2018和2019年連續(xù)兩年榮獲全國大學(xué)生公共衛(wèi)生技能大賽二等獎(jiǎng)，獲全國大學(xué)生健康教育科普作品大賽特等獎(jiǎng)1項(xiàng)、一等獎(jiǎng)2項(xiàng)和二等獎(jiǎng)1項(xiàng)，中國“互聯(lián)網(wǎng)+”大學(xué)生創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)大賽廣西賽區(qū)金獎(jiǎng)1項(xiàng)、銀獎(jiǎng)4項(xiàng)和銅獎(jiǎng)5項(xiàng)。

五、國際交流

國際交流合作日趨頻繁，成功舉辦2018中國—東盟衛(wèi)生青年論壇、廣西環(huán)境與健康風(fēng)險(xiǎn)國際論壇等國際會(huì)議，近幾年邀請WHO、NIH、耶魯大學(xué)等知名機(jī)構(gòu)學(xué)者來院交流合作20余次，教師出國訪學(xué)39人次，學(xué)生出國學(xué)習(xí)交流14人次。

The Introduction of the School of Public Health，GXMU Founded in1976, the Department of Public health of Guangxi Medical College changed its name to the School of Public Health (SPH) in1998. At present, it becomes the only?base for cultivating the public health professionals in Guangxi, including bachelor, postgraduate, doctor and postdoctoral researcher. SPH has set up 7 departments, including Occupational and Environmental Hygiene, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Nutrition and Food Hygiene, Toxicology, Health Inspection?and Quarantine, Maternal & Child Health and Mental Health, Social medicine and Health Promotion. The School has 16 teaching and research offices, 1 Key Laboratory of Guangxi Autonomous Region. SPH has set up 3 undergraduate majors, including preventive medicine, health inspection and quarantine and maternal & child health medicine.

I. Staff

SPH has 78 faculty members, among which are 66 full-time teachers, 47 of them with doctoral degrees, 25 of them with master's degrees. There are 31 professors and 12 associate professors, 17 of them PhD supervisors and 35 of them master supervisors. Moreover, two staff enjoy?the Government Special Subsidy of the State Council. The top scientists and professors have received national and provincial honors such as “National Excellent Teacher”, “National Talents”, “the New Century National Hundred”, “Guangxi Excellent Talents”, “Guangxi Bagui Scholars”, “Guangxi Bagui Young Scholars”, “Guangxi Outstanding Youths”, and “Guangxi Excellent Experts”, etc. One professor is the member of Public Health and Preventive Medicine Teaching Guiding Committee of Ministry of Higher Education, one staff joined the Guangxi Natural Science Foundation Innovation Team and Guangxi Higher Level Innovation Team.

II. Discipline

Public health and preventive medicine is a first-class discipline in Guangxi, which has the first-level discipline doctoral authority and is the post-doctoral research mobile station. SPH?possesses 1 key discipline with advantageous characteristics in Guangxi (Epidemiology and Health Statistics), 1 key discipline in Guangxi (Labor Health and Environmental Hygiene), 1 key laboratory in Guangxi (Guangxi Key Laboratory of AIDS Prevention Research), 1 key laboratory of Guangxi Colleges and Universities (Key Laboratory of Prevention and Control of Highly Prevalent Diseases in Guangxi), 1 Key Laboratory of Guangxi?Health Commission (Key Laboratory of Environment and Health Research) and two new type of think tanks with Guangxi characteristics (Center for Evaluation and Management of Health Risks of Environmental Pollution and Center for Global Health & Governance Research) .

III. Research

SPH has long carried out research on major public health issues in Guangxi. At present, SPH has formed its own research fields with regional characteristics, such as Prevention and Control of Chronic Non-infectious Diseases, Research on Harmful Effects of Heavy Metal Pollution on Environment, Prevention and Control of Major Infectious Diseases and Research on the Relationship between Environment and Health. In the past five years, it has won 1 sub-project of national key R&D, 48 National Natural Science Fund Programs (10 general projects and 9 Youth Funds), 40 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects (1 Guangxi Jieqing project and 7 key projects) and 2 CMB international cooperative scientific research projects, with the total funding of 40.92 million yuan. Over the past five years, the first or corresponding author published 218 SCI papers, and won one second prize of Guangxi Science and Technology Progress Award.

IV. Cultivation

SPH has cultivated more than 4200 undergraduates, over 1100 postgraduates and 150 Ph.D. students. The School has successively become the national talent training mode innovation experimental area?，?the national-level special major construction sites and the national first class undergraduate major construction sites of colleges and universities. In 2018 and 2019, it continuously won the second prize of National College Student Public Health Skills Competition. It also won 1 special prize, 2 first prizes and 1 second prize in the National Health Education Popularization Works Competition for College Students,1 gold award, 4 silver awards and 5 bronze awards in the Guangxi Division of the "Internet +" University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.

V. Collaboration

International exchanges and cooperation are becoming more frequent, and international conferences such as the 2018 China-ASEAN Health Youth Forum and the Guangxi International Forum on Environment and Health Risks have been successfully held. In recent years, scholars from well-known institutions such as WHO, NIH, and Yale University have been invited to the school for exchanges and cooperation more than 20 times. Teachers and students went to study abroad 39 times and 14 times respecitively.
